You may be familiar with the government’s slogan “Blue for paper, yellow for aluminium cans and brown for plastic bottles”. Did you know that beverage cartons are not included in the “Blue for paper” category when it comes to recycling?
The lease for the recycling pulp mill factory of Hong Kong’s only beverage carton recycler, Mil Mill, expires by the end of June this year. The factory has begun the countdown to an unknown future. Over the years, Mil Mill has been recycling many kinds of waste paper, including drink cartons, by turning them into tissue paper at its factory in Yuen Long, creating new value by implementing the principles of recycle and reuse. This sustainable paper recycling process has also been introduced to large corporations. Let’s visit Mil Mill’s factory and join a papermaking workshop to learn more about environmental protection and share this knowledge with the younger generation.

* A shuttle bus will be arranged to take you from the MTR Long Ping Station to MilMill Factory on the event day and back to the MTR Long Ping Station after the trip. (Participants should meet at gathering point in advance)

- Participants should arrive the venue 10 minutes before the class commences.
- No class transfer will be allowed after successful enrollment.
- nf HOMES reserves the right to reschedule the event due to force majeure, for example, adverse weather conditions.
- In case of any disputes, the decision of nf HOMES shall be final.
- Participants should comply with all the anti-epidemic measures of COVID-19 set out by the Government
- Mil Mill comprises an education center and the operation plant. Visitors should be 8 years old or above.
- The mill has its own operations schedule, Mil Mill will not guarantee machines are in operations during the visit.
- Parking facilities are not provided.
- Participants understand and agree that nf HOMES and Mil Mill may use and retain any photographs or videotapes (collectively, “Materials”) of the Participants which may be taken during their visits, for any purpose and in all forms without incurring any liability to the Participants or any person (including the requirement to pay any compensation in respect of such use of the Materials).
